COVID-19 (AND ANTIBODY) TESTING AVAILABLE AT MCHD
TESTING FOR ANY SYMPTOMATIC PERSON
Symptoms May Include: Cough, Shortness of Breath or Difficulty Breathing, Fatigue, Muscle or Body Aches Headache, New Loss of Taste or Smell, Sore throat, Congestion or Runny Nose, Nausea or Vomiting, Diarrhea
GATHERINGS / EVENTS OF 250 OR MORE
(Effective July 23rd)
*Organizers must develop and submit to local Health Department a written plan outlining the steps being taken to mitigate against COVID-19.
*Also applies to seasonal or special events such as fairs, festivals, parades, graduations, outdoor concerts, outdoor movies (other than drive-ins), family reunions, conferences, or weddings.
**PLAN MUST ADDRESS**
*Staff and volunteer screening
*Social distancing measures
*Monitoring and enforcement plan
*Local Health Departments review and will approve or disapprove events plans
*Local Health Departments and event organizers should consider current conditions when assessing whether to reduce the number of attendees, postpone or cancel events.
STATEWIDE MASK MANDATE
(Effective July 27th)
A statewide mask mandate will take effect Monday, July 27. This mandate applies to all Hoosiers ages 8 and older while they are in public indoor spaces and commercial entities, when using public transportation or other vehicle services, and in outside public spaces when it isn’t possible to be socially distanced from people not in the same household.
This includes schools, where masks will be mandatory for students in the third grade and above.
The governor will issue an executive order tomorrow that further details this mandate. There will be exceptions, such as for medical purposes, exercising and eating and drinking.
